- Do you receive any error message when trying to access the drive?
Let’s try the following troubleshooting steps; I am sure this will help you resolve the issue.
Method 1: Run the Hardware troubleshooter and check.
Follow the steps to run the troubleshooter:
a. Press Windows key + C on your keyboard to show the Charms bar.
b. Type Troubleshooting and click Troubleshooting under Settings.
c. Now type Hardware Troubleshooter in the search option.
d. Click on Hardware troubleshooter to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: Uninstall, reinstall the CD/DVD drivers.
a. Press the ‘Windows key + W’ key on the keyboard.
b. Type device manager in the search box and then press enter.
c. Click “device manager” option from the list appeared in the left side.
d. Device Manager, expand DVD/CD-ROM drives, right-click the CD and DVD devices, and then click Uninstall.
e. When you are prompted to confirm that you want to remove the device, click OK.
f. Restart the computer.
g. After the computer restarts, the drivers will be automatically installed.
